President Michael Yenni has issued a mandatory evacuation for residents in the lower lying Lafitte, Crowne Point and Barataria in conjunction with Mayor Tim Kerner’s mandatory evacuation of the town of Jean Lafitte effective today, July 11, 2019 at 2:00pm.

Mayor Camardelle has issued a mandatory evacuation for Grand Isle effective today July 11, 2019 at 12:00pm

Officials are concerned about the threat of rising waters due to storm surge and want to prevent residents from being stranded in these vulnerable areas.
